NEW IN 2025: Logistics Start-up – design and manage your own warehouse

For the first time, logistics took center stage at the Capolavoro Nazionale!
Six teams of students from Salesian training schools across Italy competed in designing and managing an innovative warehouse, tackling real-world challenges and putting their skills into practice. A special thank you to Matteo Perazzoli, Logistics Director at Bracchii, for his contribution as a judge in the initiative.

In addition to being a training opportunity, the Capolavoro was also a meeting point for schools, educational institutions, and companies, fostering dialogue and collaboration. A heartfelt thanks goes to Eddy Zanenga, CNOS-FAP Director of the Treviglio branch, and his entire team for the flawless organization!

The future of logistics is in excellent hands!

EH&S (Environmental, Health & Safety)

On 23 April, at our Hub in Castrezzato (BS), we organised a workshop aimed at exploring the theme raised this year by the International Labour Organisation regarding the impact of climate change on health and safety objectives in the workplace.

Umberto Ferretti, CEO, opened the session by presenting Bracchii’s decarbonisation plan. Manuel Brumana, QHSE manager, illustrated Bracchii’s recent EH&S policy, with a focus on the importance of near misses.

Professor Andrea Biancardi, lecturer in Sustainability, Energy Transition and Geopolitics at SDA Bocconi, delved into the topic of the impacts of climate change on health and safety in the workplace.

During the week, numerous meetings were held at the various Bracchii hubs, both in Italy and abroad, with the aim of raising awareness among the entire workforce on the importance of safety issues.

Events also include the awarding of the most virtuous HUBs and the presentation of the new corporate campaign ‘ZERO ACCIDENTS, MISSION POSSIBLE’, which includes the installation of a number of information panels in all of the group’s locations.

With everyone’s commitment, safety can be achieved in every workplace.

On 28 April 2023, ‘World Day for Safety and Health at Work’, we celebrate our operational sites that have been particularly virtuous over the past 365 days.

Locations that, thanks to strict safety, training and risk prevention procedures, have reduced workplace accidents to zero, earning them the ‘Workplace Safety Award’.

Particularly significant is the case of our Logistics Hub in Schio (VI), which, through the BBS (Behaviour Based Safety) methodology and the adoption of new automation technologies, has managed to significantly improve its safety indices, achieving levels of excellence.

But each location tells an important story. In the Regional Offices in Lublin (PL), the result is particularly relevant as exceptional transports are handled here, with operations and procedures requiring special attention on the safety front.

In the Logistics Hub in Oppeano (VR), the important work carried out by the Bracchii staff in coordination with Easy Coop should be mentioned.

Also noteworthy are the results of the Logistics Hub in Kostolné Kračany (SK), one of our most advanced logistics centres, and the Logistics Hub in Casale sul Sile (TV).

Because safety is the most important goal to achieve every day.

On Wednesday 28 September, we inaugurated our new logistics hub in Castrezzato, Brescia area, 20.000 square metres of covered area that will house industrial and design products in a ‘Leed Gold’ certified space

The Hub offers modern office spaces, large green areas, numerous car parks and loading bays and will be dedicated to meeting the growing demand of the industrial, design and lifestyle sectors. Important is the green and eco-sustainable vocation of the project, which has obtained the ‘Leed Gold’ certification that recognises building performance in areas such as energy and water saving, reduction of CO2 emissions, improvement of the ecological quality of the interiors, materials and resources used, design and site selection.

Bracchii CEO Umberto Ferretti comments on the inauguration: “A large logistics area, surrounded by greenery, with quick access to the motorway. An innovative warehouse also in terms of technological and energy-saving solutions, which demonstrates Bracchii’s great commitment to sustainable development issues. This area will be strategic for Bracchii’s development”.

The opening event was attended by institutional authorities, Bracchii’s top clients, the managing director of the IGI Private Equity fund Matteo Cirla, Bracchii’s entire board of directors and management led by CEO Umberto Ferretti.

A new milestone in Bracchii’s growth path. A major new logistics hub on the map for Bracchii, which has locations in Italy, Germany, Poland and Slovakia. A hub strategically positioned along the A35 BreBeMi motorway, one of the main arteries of Northern Italy and in particular of the ‘Greater Milan’ area.

The edition recorded over 21,000 attendees and 5,000 remote connections.

Bracchii with Truckpooling took part with a stand at the 17th edition of Netcomm Forum 2022, the reference point for e-commerce and digital retail in Italy and internationally. Two intense days of insights, workshops, innovation and discovery, entirely dedicated to Digital Business Transformation.

The Netcomm event fully demonstrated the energy and dynamism of a sector in continuous evolution. Many visitors showed interest in meeting us discovering all our solutions for transport and logistics dedicated to the digital world and beyond.

We presented Truckpooling, the platform that allows private and small companies to buy shipments online at the best price. An ideal showcase for a preview of the evolution of Truckpooling PRO, with features aimed specifically at companies selling online. We also had interesting meetings with companies from the fashion, food & beverage, furniture, cosmetics and retail sectors.

Netcomm days were an exciting experience that demonstrated a great desire to restart, but above all underlined the importance of digital, which will increasingly become an integral part of our daily lives.

Workers, employers and organisations around the world united to highlight the importance of acting together for safety at work.

28 April is World Day for Safety and Health at Work, established in 2003 by the International Labour Organisation (ILO) to raise awareness of the need to prevent occupational accidents and diseases.

This year’s message, which we at Bracchii fully endorse, is: “Let’s act together for a positive health and safety culture!”, because safeguarding your personal safety also means protecting the health and safety of those around you.

The numbers of accidents in the workplace are not in line with our expectations, which is why we need to increase knowledge and awareness of the issue, with the promotion and adoption of individual best practices. Everyone can do their part by learning to think and act safely, for themselves and for others.

A path to be taken one step at a time, but all together in the same direction, because safety is a team effort!
