We are proud to announce the strengthening of our presence in Northern Europe through the acquisition of the German company Rostock Trans, a specialist operator in highly complex heavy and abnormal transport, particularly for onshore wind turbine components.

Following the recent entry of Mateco in 2024, this transaction represents a further clear signal of the direction Bracchii has taken: to grow in a structured way, integrate new capabilities, and build an increasingly solid, specialized European network that is close to major industrial customers.

With the addition of Rostock Trans, the Bracchii Group welcomes new people, skills, and highly valuable experience. Founder and CEO Laars Hennek will continue to play an active role within the Bracchii project, working alongside the Group’s management to develop the next phase of growth, ensuring operational continuity and alignment on shared strategic objectives.

Thanks to this integration, Bracchii further strengthens its presence in Northern Europe and significantly expands its operations in the German market, working ever more closely with leading European industrial players.

A new boost in the wind energy sector

Rostock Trans brings strong expertise in onshore wind energy logistics, a rapidly growing sector that is playing an increasingly central role in Europe’s energy transition.

The company is widely recognized for managing highly complex transports, blades, nacelles, and tower sections, and for operating a modern fleet of vehicles, internally engineered to ensure maximum safety and reliability even in the most challenging operations.

These capabilities integrate seamlessly with Bracchii’s experience in special and heavy transport, further strengthening the Group’s positioning in high-complexity logistics projects.

Rostock Trans contributes to Bracchii’s sustainability journey with a fleet of approximately 100 vehicles, internally designed and already compatible with low-emission fuels such as HVO. Through continuous fleet renewal, logistics process optimization, and ongoing improvements in operational efficiency, the Group continues its concrete commitment to reducing environmental impact.

The Bracchii Sustainability Report 2025, now in its third edition, is available online.

The document outlines the journey undertaken by the Group in recent years to integrate ESG principles into its corporate strategy and day-to-day operations, sharing results, objectives and concrete actions.

The Report is not only a reporting tool, but also a statement of vision: a constant commitment to responsible development, capable of combining economic growth, people focus and environmental protection.

Prepared in line with the main international standards (including ESRS and SVME Standards), the Report covers the three key areas of ENVIRONMENT, SOCIAL and GOVERNANCE.

ENVIRONMENT
In 2025, Bracchii made significant progress in reducing its environmental impact:

• 73% reduction in diesel consumption
• 88% reduction in natural gas consumption
• 100% of purchased energy from renewable sources
• Fleet renewal with vehicles compliant with the Euro 6 standard
• Introduction of a waste monitoring system, with all waste now directed to recovery and reuse

SOCIAL
Strong focus was placed on people and safety:

• 87% increase in reported near misses, confirming a growing safety culture
• Reduction in the injury severity rate
• 5,934 hours of training delivered (+51% compared to 2024), equal to an average of 16 hours per employee
• 85% of employees on permanent contracts
• 24% new hires, supporting the Group’s growth
• Increase in the female workforce (+10%) and in the number of employees under 30

GOVERNANCE
The Report confirms Bracchii’s commitment to ethical, transparent and continuously improving governance, within a Group that is increasingly international while remaining deeply connected to its values and local communities.

At the heart of our 2024-2028 Decarbonization Plan lies a pivotal decision: the adoption of HVO biofuel to power our company-owned fleet and corporate vehicles. Additionally, we will implement significant „Green Procurement” actions, raising awareness among third-party transport providers to encourage the adoption of this sustainable fuel.

What is HVO?

HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) is a second-generation biofuel derived from vegetable oils and animal fats treated with hydrogen. Produced from renewable sources and waste materials, HVO eliminates up to 90% of greenhouse gas emissions and significantly reduces nitrogen oxide (NOx), particulate matter (PM), and carbon monoxide (CO) emissions.

We have established long-term partnerships with leading international players committed to producing HVO using an increasing share of raw materials unrelated to food agriculture, prioritizing agricultural and industrial waste. This approach promotes a circular economy by reusing waste, reducing emissions, and preventing waste from ending up in landfills. Furthermore, we are investing in innovative technologies for using woody biomass, algae, and other non-food energy crops.

New Board of Directors
To ensure the continuity and excellence of service that has always been appreciated by our customers, the new Board of Directors of Mateco S.p.A. will include highly experienced individuals such as Matteo Rossi and Patrizio Branchesi, who have led the company to success in recent years, along with Mauro Crippa, a longstanding professional figure from the Bracchii team.
